Human Resources Manager

Job Title: Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions at our manufacturing facility. This role is critical in managing workforce planning, labor relations, health and safety compliance, and supporting a high-performance culture on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing HR, with the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on support. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Key Responsibilities:
Workforce Management:

• Oversee full-cycle recruitment for plant and office roles, including production staff, technicians, and skilled trades.
• Collaborate with operations and plant leadership to plan staffing needs and shift coverage.
• Lead onboarding, orientation, and training for new hires, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Employee Relations & Labor:

• Serve as the primary HR contact for employee concerns on the shop floor.
• Support or manage union relationships (if applicable), grievance resolution, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Promote a positive and respectful workplace culture aligned with lean manufacturing principles.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

• Work within the safety team to enforce workplace safety standards and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping for incident reports, training logs, and regulatory audits.

Performance Management & Development:

• Implement performance review processes for hourly and salaried employees.
• Coach supervisors and team leads on performance management and employee development.
• Identify training needs, including cross training and upskilling of production staff.

Policy & Compliance:

• Maintain and enforce HR policies in compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
• Manage attendance policies, timekeeping systems, and disciplinary procedures.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Oversee payroll processing and benefit administration for plant employees.
• Conduct wage benchmarking for hourly and skilled roles to ensure competitiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and labor law compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Paycor or other similar HRIS system and Microsoft Office.
• HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
