Strategic Leadership: Direct all HR activities for a facility with over 250 employees, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and manufacturing production schedules.
Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns; champion a proactive, non-union workplace culture through effective communication and conflict resolution.
Payroll Oversight: Manage and ensure the accuracy of complex, high-volume payroll processing for hourly and salaried staff.
Talent Acquisition: Oversee full-cycle recruiting efforts to maintain optimal staffing levels for production lines, including onboarding and retention strategies.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain rigorous compliance with federal and state labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA) and support workplace safety initiatives in coordination with the EHS department.
Performance Management: Coach and develop front-line supervisors and department heads on performance tracking, disciplinary actions, and leadership development.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Experience: 3–5 years of progressive HR management experience specifically within a manufacturing environment.
Note: Prior experience in the Food & Beverage or Perishables industry is highly preferred.
Management Requirement: Proven track record of managing HR functions in a large plant setting (250+ employees).
Labor Relations: Extensive experience operating within a non-union environment is essential.
Process Oversight: Strong proficiency in managing complex Payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
Specific Skills: * Expertise in conflict resolution and employee engagement.
Strong analytical skills for tracking HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, etc.).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with both executive leadership and floor-level staff.
Additional Requirements: Must be able to work on-site in a high-energy manufacturing facility. Professional certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR) is a plus.
