Recruit and hire direct labor positions, including sourcing, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring process.
Conduct interviews, process background checks and employment authorizations, and coordinate new hire orientation.
Process weekly timekeeping and maintain accurate employee attendance records and calendars.
Research and investigate employee issues and concerns, consult with management, and coordinate appropriate actions to resolve matters.
Review disciplinary actions and termination documentation, involving appropriate internal partners as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files for active and terminated employees.
Assist with workers’ compensation cases and related documentation.
Serve as a liaison between employees and operations to review and approve weekly timesheets.
Coordinate and distribute labor, staffing, and hiring reports to management.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment practices.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Manager role, preferably supporting an organization of 150+ employees.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant work experience may be considered.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Strong ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
Professional and approachable demeanor when working with employees and management at all levels.
Resourceful and solutions-oriented, with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information appropriately.
Proficiency with standard office equipment, including copiers, scanners, and multi-line phone systems.
