Human Resources Manager

Arkansas Talent Group is seeking a Human Resources Manager for a dynamic, mission-driven organization based in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is an interim contract opportunity designed to provide immediate HR leadership and operational support while the organization evaluates and strategically reshapes the long-term structure of the role and broader HR function. This position offers a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact and help influence the future direction of the department.

The Human Resources Manager will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations while partnering closely with leadership to align people strategies with business objectives. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, ensuring a positive workplace culture while maintaining compliance with all applicable employment laws and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance management coaching, and policy interpretation.
• Support and execute HR operations including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and performance management.
• Partner with leadership to identify workforce needs, provide strategic HR guidance, and implement effective solutions that drive engagement and retention.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding to ensure a seamless candidate and new hire experience.
• Provide guidance to managers on employee performance, disciplinary actions, attendance issues, accommodations, and general HR best practices.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and stay current on regulatory changes impacting the organization.
• Support compensation and benefits administration, including benchmarking and employee communications.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance HR service delivery and organizational effectiveness.
• Participate in organizational initiatives and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, and HR compliance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are preferred.
