Extension is seeking a Human Resources Manager for a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Milwaukee, WI.
Own day-to-day Human Resources Generalist responsibilities independently
Lead full-cycle recruiting for blue-collar, skilled trade, and professional positions
Source, screen, interview, and onboard new employees
Process and support payroll-related functions across multiple entities
Administer benefits, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and related HR compliance
Maintain employee files, I-9s, HR systems, and documentation
Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and management
Support employee relations, communications, and HR-related questions
Help streamline and improve recruiting, onboarding, and HR processes

5+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience
Strong recruiting experience, particularly with blue-collar/skilled-trade employees
Hands-on payroll experience required
Experience with onboarding and employee administration
Strong HR systems and computer skills
Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Manufacturing, construction, facilities, trucking, skilled trades, or similar experience preferred
Bilingual Spanish/English is a strong plus
Milwaukee-based organization with a lean, hands-on team environment
