SALARY RANGE $70,304.00. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director/Director of Human Resources with a variety of Human Resources functions including and not limited to Talent Acquisition and Retention, Learning and Development, Employee Relations and compliance.
Essential Functions

- Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
- Have thorough knowledge of both HRIS systems – UKG and Unifocus.
- Conduct benefits audits to ensure compliance with the Federal and State laws.
- Assist Accounting with payroll processing and oversee payroll related HR functions.
- Be an expert in coaching and guiding department leaders pertaining to the employee relations.
- Maintain awareness of the Employee Handbook and Benefits guidebook to be able to guide the associates and answer questions.
- Assist director of HR with overseeing disciplinary process.
- Be involved in and/or conduct departmental and resort training.
- Conduct interviews for the exempt and non – exempt team members.
- Process FMLA paperwork in accordance with federal and state laws.
- Explain benefits, assist with completion of enrollment forms, and answer questions.
- Compile review list and distribute to departments.
- Oversee unemployment claims.
- Spearhead New Hire Orientation, Harassment Training and other compliance training and ensure records are maintained accurately.
- Participate in various projects and contribute towards enhancing of the Resorts culture.
- Maintain compliance with Silverado Resort policies, standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operation of the resort.
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent
- Professional HR designation preferred.
- At least 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a resort or a related industry required.
- Previous Managerial experience within Human Resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
Work Conditions and Schedule
- Weekend and holiday availability is required as well as flexibility with work schedule.
- The scope of the position may sometimes require a work week over 40 hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- The role requires sitting at the desk in front of the computer for an extended period of time.
