Human Resources Manaager

Healthcare

Directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function. The Human Resources Manager will have general oversight of all Human Resources-related functions, including benefits, compensation, recruiting, employee safety, and performance evaluation. Will also be required to promote and adhere to the Just Culture model.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Five plus years of Human Resources Manager experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer and employee relations skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional ethics and organizational compliance standards.
  • Ability to coordinate and facilitate meetings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and general office software.

Experience in Healthcare industry strongly preferred

Essential Responsibilities

  • Guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs.
  • Oversee Workers' Compensation activities and participate in quarterly meetings.
  • Authorize and approve job requisitions, personnel action notices, background checks, fingerprinting results, DMV records reviews, internal applications, employment verifications, PTO cash-out requests, and education assistance requests.
  • Address and follow up on employment-related and regulatory compliance concerns.
  • Assist with Human Resources policy development, implementation, and documentation.
  • Support employee safety, wellness, and health initiatives related to Human Resources functions.
  • Foster an employee-focused culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Monitor adherence to established standards and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support and encourage the ongoing development of Human Resources staff.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and provide recommendations for policy, procedure, and practice improvements.
  • Maintain knowledge of employment laws, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate changes to personnel policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Review and analyze exit interview data to identify trends and reasons for turnover.
  • Develop and maintain Human Resources systems that support organizational personnel information needs.
  • Participate in committees, special projects, and additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensure Human Resources policies and procedures are consistently applied.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to managers regarding Human Resources matters.
  • Establish and maintain effective performance management processes for the Human Resources team.
  • Oversee employee benefit programs and respond to employee benefit inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance and quality standards for personnel files and coordinate required new hire training.
  • Ensure employees complete required and elective Human Resources training programs.
  • Partner with department leaders to maintain accurate and current job descriptions.
  • Maintain working knowledge of COBRA administration processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and employment-related recordkeeping.
  • Serve as an escalation point for employee concerns and conduct investigations when necessary.
  • Oversee departmental Quality Assurance activities and participate in organization-wide Quality Improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
