Job Details

The HR Manager / Senior HR Generalist will serve as the primary Human Resources professional for the organization, providing hands-on support across all HR disciplines.

This individual must be comfortable operating independently and managing day-to-day HR responsibilities while serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees.

Responsibilities
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting and onboarding activities
  • Administer employee benefits programs and enrollment processes
  • Manage employee relations matters and workplace concerns
  • Coordinate leave administration including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and related regulations
  • Maintain and administer HRIS systems (ADP experience preferred)
  • Assist with HRIS implementation and system transition projects
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies and procedures
  • Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs
  • Maintain HR compliance and personnel records
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs
  • Manage offboarding and termination processes
  • Support compensation administration and market benchmarking efforts
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational initiatives

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Experience serving as a standalone HR professional or lead HR resource

Strong knowledge of:
  • Employee Relations
  • Benefits Administration
  • FMLA
  • CFRA
  • ADA
  • Workers' Compensation
  • Performance Management
  • HR Compliance
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP, BambooHR, or similar systems
  • Strong understanding of California employment laws
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Preferred Qualifications
  • Construction, engineering, development, real estate, or skilled trades industry experience
  • Experience supporting multi-state employee populations
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
  • Experience implementing or transitioning HRIS systems
