Human Resources Manager

This role will be critical in supporting a North American aerospace manufacturing and support operation. You will serve as the site HR leader and work directly with local leadership to develop and execute a people strategy aligned with business objectives. This role reports to the divisional HR leadership team.

The U.S. site is a key manufacturing and support location specializing in the production and servicing of mission-oriented aircraft platforms. The facility supports final assembly, painting, inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities serving commercial, government, and specialty aviation customers worldwide. In addition to manufacturing, the site provides aircraft maintenance, technical support, and quality oversight while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and customer requirements. The organization continues to expand operational capabilities and strengthen its role within a global aerospace network.

JOB SUMMARY

Implement human resources programs by providing HR services including recruiting and staffing, compensation and benefits administration, training and development, employee relations, and compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations. Complete personnel transactions, maintain associated records, and analyze internal and external HR data to benchmark and improve organizational practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement corporate HR policies and initiatives at the site level
  • Partner with site leadership to develop HR metrics for benchmarking, workforce planning, and forecasting
  • Manage recruiting and staffing processes following approved hiring plans
  • Ensure recruiting activities comply with applicable laws and organizational values
  • Conduct audits of programs, recordkeeping practices, and employment processes to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Support recordkeeping requirements related to safety, wellness, and health reporting
  • Participate in onboarding and offboarding activities as needed
  • Support employee engagement initiatives including surveys, events, and communication programs
  • Deploy HR processes and policies across the site
  • Manage employee relations matters in accordance with company policy
  • Communicate with customers regarding HR and security protocols as required
  • Serve as a business partner to site leadership on HR-related matters
  • Manage HR operational KPIs for the facility
  • Ensure accurate information flow supporting payroll, PTO tracking, and benefits administration
  • Manage the site HR budget
  • Lead performance management processes including reviews, goal setting, development planning, succession planning, and talent reviews
  • Support annual compensation review and incentive programs
  • Assist regional HR leadership with broader organizational initiatives as needed

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience supporting a non-exempt workforce
  • Minimum 8 years in an HR leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Experience managing and developing HR teams
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and HRIS platforms
  • Experience handling employee relations matters and workplace investigations
  • Experience managing the full recruiting lifecycle in an operational or manufacturing environment
  • Experience developing HR programs, policies, and practices to maintain compliance with employment laws
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with enterprise HRIS and payroll systems
  • SHRM or equivalent HR certification
  • Experience conducting HR compliance audits
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives
  • Recent experience working in a global organization
  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial environments
