Human Resources Manager

Our client is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for a growing industrial distribution and service organization. 
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations and employee relations.

  • Support hourly and salaried employees across warehouse, machine shop, logistics, driver, and corporate functions.

  • Coach managers on performance, attendance, disciplinary actions, employee relations, and workplace concerns.

  • Lead semi-annual performance reviews and related documentation and development plans.

  • Manage recruiting, onboarding, employee records, policies, handbook updates, and HR compliance.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for payroll, benefits, workers' compensation, onboarding, and other HR functions.

  • Partner with operations on OSHA, DOT, safety investigations, incident documentation, and employee safety training.

  • Track key HR metrics including turnover, hiring, attendance, performance reviews, and training.

  • Travel domestically up to 25%.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Manager-level responsibilities.

  • Experience supporting hourly industrial employees is strongly preferred, particularly within manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, logistics, transportation, machine shop, construction, or industrial services.

  • Experience supporting both hourly and corporate salaried employees.

  • Strong employee relations and performance management experience.

  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred.

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar HR certification highly preferred.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively from the shop floor to the executive level.
