About the OpportunityOur client, a fast-growing enterprise software company in Bellevue, is looking for an experienced HR Operations professional to step in immediately and cover a leave of absence. This is a hands-on role supporting the full employee lifecycle for U.S. employees and contractors. You'll be joining a collaborative People team that values accuracy, great service, and smart use of technology. Please note: this is a contract engagement with limited likelihood of conversion to full-time.
What You'll Do- Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle: onboarding, data changes, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, offboarding, and employment verifications
- Act as a go-to HR Operations resource for employees, managers, and HR Business Partners, answering questions on policies and processes and resolving HR cases quickly
- Maintain employee records and personnel files; manage background checks, I-9 verification, compliance requirements, and audit readiness
- Process transactions and audit data in Oracle HCM and other HR systems; pull reports and metrics for leadership
- Work closely with Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, IT, Legal, Finance, and Facilities to keep HR processes running smoothly
- Write and update HR policies, SOPs, workflows, and process documentation
- Spot opportunities to improve processes, strengthen compliance, and reduce manual work
- Help test, roll out, and improve HR technology, including workflow automation, chatbots, and AI-powered tools
- Support engagement programs, office operations, and special projects as needed
What You'll Bring- 5+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations, People Operations, HR Shared Services, or general HR
- Hands-on experience managing high-volume lifecycle processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Solid knowledge of HR compliance, records management, onboarding/offboarding, and employment eligibility (I-9)
- HRIS experience required; Oracle HCM strongly preferred
- Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, and personnel file governance
- Experience using AI tools, automation platforms, or low-code/no-code solutions to improve efficiency
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to juggle competing priorities
- Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive, confidential information
- Excellent communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification
- Experience supporting global organizations across multiple time zones
