Human Resources Position Human Resource Assistant/Generalist

Job Description:

Regional School District 8 is accepting applications for a 12-month, 35 - 40 hour per week, Human Resources Assistant/Generalist. This non-affiliated position will work closely with the Superintendent's office to support district staff and carry out general human resource processes and procedures.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support hiring process (posting vacancies, onboarding of new employees)
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employee policies and procedures
• Collaborate with business and accounting office(s) with matters related to budget/employee contracts
• Support employees requiring leave
• Ensure the timely completion of required employee forms
• Maintain employee databases and personnel files
• State and district reporting as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experiences in the human resources/personnel field preferred
• Knowledge of state and federal requirements pertaining to employment practices preferred
• Proficient with high range of technology (Google and Microsoft suites, School ERP Pro)
• High degree of human relation skill
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Self-motivated and able to work and solve problems independently

Compensation: $25.00 and $27.00 per hour commensurate with experience.

Regional School District 8 (RHAM) is a high-performing, regionalized secondary school district serving approximately 1,000 students in grades seven through twelve residing in the towns of Hebron, Andover, and Marlborough. The district consists of one middle school and one high school located on a shared campus in Hebron, CT.
