Human Resources Associate - Office of Talent Management

Hartford Public Schools | $66,000 | 12-Month Position

Are you a detail-oriented HR professional who loves connecting people to purpose? Hartford Public Schools is looking for a Human Resources Associate to join our Office of Talent Management and help bring great talent into our schools.

In this role, youll manage the applicant and onboarding process from start to finish, support principals with hiring, coordinate background checks and fingerprinting, lead new employee orientations, and help drive key initiatives that strengthen our HR operations. Youll work closely with school leaders and central office staff, making sure every new hire feels welcomed, informed, and set up for success.

What you bring:

  • A bachelors degree in business or HR (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • At least 2 years of HR experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and HR databases
  • A collaborative, customer-service mindset
