Job Description:

Human Resources Generalist

Region 9 School District is seeking a highly organized, technology-savvy, and collaborative Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources Department. This newly created position is part of a strategic departmental reorganization designed to strengthen HR operations, enhance employee support, and support the successful implementation of our new ADP and Red Rover platforms.

The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with the Director of Human Resources to support recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance tracking, HR systems management, reporting, and employee lifecycle processes. This position will also serve as a cross-trained backup to the Payroll Clerk to ensure operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities from posting through employee onboarding.
  • Monitor and maintain applicant tracking and onboarding systems.
  • Manage employment verification, background check, and pre-employment processes.
  • Support annual open enrollment and employee benefits administration.
  • Maintain employee records and HR data systems.
  • Assist with certification tracking, compliance monitoring, and employee reminders.
  • Support retirement system reporting, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, automated reminders, and workflow systems.
  • Assist with HR reporting and data analysis.
  • Serve as backup to the Payroll Clerk when necessary.
  • Support the implementation and administration of ADP, Red Rover, and other HR technologies.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience in a Human Resource Department and/or School District Office
  • Demonstrated administrative, business office, human resources, payroll, or related experience.
  • Strong technology skills and proficiency with Google Workspace.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred:

  • Human Resources experience.
  • Experience in a public school district or public-sector environment.
  • Experience with ADP or other HRIS systems.
  • Experience with Red Rover, Frontline, or similar employee management platforms.
  • Experience with ADP or similiar payroll system.
  • Advanced experience with Google Sheets, reporting, and workflow automation.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, benefits, or payroll processes.

Salary:

$58,000-$67,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Work Year:

Full-time, 12-month position.
