    Description

    Our client, a manufacturing company is seeking a motivated and growth-oriented Human Resources professional to join their team.

    This HR role provides hands-on experience across all major human resources functions, including employee relations, compliance, recruitment, onboarding, training, payroll support, and workforce administration.

    Working closely with and under the mentorship of the HR Manager, the Human Resources professional will support a fast-paced, multi-shift manufacturing environment while helping ensure a positive employee experience and compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

    Responsibilities:
    Employee Relations & Performance Management

    • Assist with employee relations matters, including workplace complaints, policy concerns, investigations, and conflict resolution.
    • Support supervisors and managers with coaching conversations, corrective actions, and employee documentation.
    • Help ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and workplace standards.
    • Assist with performance improvement plans, probationary evaluations, and employee separation processes.

    Compliance & Risk Management

    • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate personnel records and confidential employee information.
    • Assist with I-9 compliance, wage and hour documentation, FLSA requirements, and HR recordkeeping.
    • Support OSHA, SQF, workplace safety, and other compliance initiatives.
    • Prepare documentation and assist during internal audits, external audits, and compliance reviews.

    Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

    • Support full-cycle recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried positions.
    • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and assist hiring managers throughout the selection process.
    • Organize and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
    • Conduct 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day new employee follow-ups.
    • Ensure completion of required training, certifications, and department standard operating procedures (SOPs).

    Payroll, Benefits & Workforce Support

    • Assist with payroll administration by reviewing timekeeping records and ensuring data accuracy.
    • Respond to employee questions related to benefits, enrollment, and HR programs.
    • Help resolve attendance issues, payroll discrepancies, and other employee concerns.
    • Track and report workforce metrics including attendance, turnover, and employee data.
    • Participate in safety committee meetings and support plant-wide initiatives.

    Requirements
    Required Qualifications

    • 1 to 3 years of human resources experience preferred.
    • Foundational understanding of employment laws, HR practices, and employee relations principles.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
    • Strong documentation and recordkeeping abilities.
    • Bilingual Spanish skills is a PLUS
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Human resources experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
    • Progress toward or attainment of SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
    • Experience supporting multi-shift operations.
    • Exposure to safety programs, OSHA compliance, or audit processes.
    • Experience with employee engagement, training coordination, or workforce development initiatives.
