POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Program Support Intern will assist Mary Greeley Medical Center’s Human Resources team in managing the Patient Care Tech (PCT) State of Iowa Grant. This internship provides hands-on experience in HR operations, data tracking, process improvement, and technology solutions. The intern will gain valuable skills in grant management, reporting, and systems development while contributing to projects that directly enhance HR efficiency and employee experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Track all components of the Patient Care Tech (PCT) Grant program, including employee and supervisor participation, payroll details, timecards, certification billings, and payments. Ensure all documentation aligns with Iowa Workforce Development grant requirements and organizational standards.
+ Work closely with Human Resources, Accounting, and Training teams to collect, verify, and report program participant data. Support seamless communication between departments to maintain accuracy, consistency, and timely submission of required information.
+ Monitor the effectiveness of current grant tracking and reporting processes. Identify opportunities for increased efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & EXPERIENCE:
Required: Attention to detail, comfortable with computer systems, critical thinking
Preferred: Previous internship experience, Current college student majoring in Business, Information Systems, or related major
