Location New Carlisle INCleveland-Cliffs Steel has an opening for a Human Resources Representative at our office in New Carlisle Indiana. The Human Resources Representative is responsible for supporting salaried and union employees on full-cycle recruiting benefits administration and employee and labor relations issues. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment supporting a broad range of human resource activities within the operations.Summary of ResponsibilitiesAdminister the internal and external recruiting and hiring programs for the salaried and bargaining unit workforce in assigned plant departments.Coordinate new hire orientationonboarding.Collaborate in the development and delivery of various training programs.Maintain employee demographics headcount attrition organizational charts and critical vacancy lists.Assist in administering employee benefits including short-termlong-term disability and restricted work analyses as per the ADA and the FMLA.Assist management in the implementation of company policies and procedures investigate potential violations and offer recommendations in the resolution of these matters.Conduct workplace investigations and advise management on actions to be taken.All other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree in human resources or related field with a minimum of 2years of human resources andor labor relations work experience.Demonstrated working knowledge of federal state and local employment laws and regulations including but not limited to EEO ADA FLSA and FMLA.Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word Outlook Excel PowerPoint and database management systems.2 years working knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce Workday or comparable Human Resources Management system.Organized detail-oriented result-driven excellent communicator and willing to work autonomously following initial direction and instruction.Self-starter who displays motivation initiative innovation and enthusiasm.Preferred QualificationsFive or more years of Human Resources experience in a large manufacturing unionized environment.SHRM - CPPHR certification.Cleveland-Cliffs is a leading North America-based steel producer withfocuson value-added sheet products particularly for the automotive industry.
