We are seeking a hands-on HR & Safety Coordinator to support multiple small businesses, with a primary focus on our Palmetto Plastics manufacturing facility.

This role is ideal for someone who excels at execution, communication, and day-to-day ownership—not policy design. You will work alongside external legal and safety professionals who provide guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration

  • Execute onboarding and offboarding processes

  • Maintain employee records and documentation

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR questions

  • Coordinate benefits administration (healthcare, 401k, etc.)

  • Escalate complex issues to legal counsel as needed

Palmetto Plastics (Primary Focus)

  • Provide on-site HR support for:

    • Full-time employees (~15)

    • Temporary workforce (~20)

  • Coordinate closely with staffing agency

  • Manage attendance tracking and workforce coordination

  • Review Production Analysis per person

  • Support employee retention and day-to-day issue resolution

Safety Coordination

  • Support daily safety practices on the plant floor

  • Conduct basic safety meetings and walkthroughs

  • Track incidents and maintain safety records

  • Coordinate with external safety manager for quarterly audits and improvements

General Coordination

  • Act as a communication hub between management, employees, staffing partners, and external advisors

  • Ensure follow-through on HR and safety initiatives

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of HR, operations, or administrative experience

  • Manufacturing or construction environment preferred

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities

  • Comfortable working on-site in a plant environment
