Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Manager
Pay: ~$65,000/year (Exempt, Full-Time)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm

Join a reputable, non-profit higher education institution specializing in community impact programs as a Human Resources Manager on-site in Canyonville, Oregon. As the HR Manager, you’ll lead core human resources functions, including full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance. You will partner closely with leadership and faculty to foster an inclusive, equitable, and highly collaborative workplace culture.

What You'll Do
As the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Leading day-to-day HR operations, managing records, benefits, leave, and employee relations for faculty, staff, and student workers.
• Managing full-cycle recruitment, partnering with department managers to develop equitable job descriptions, source talent, interview, and handle background clearances.
• Designing and facilitating onboarding, ensuring seamless documentation, benefits enrollment, and cultural alignment for all new hires.
• Advising and coaching supervisors, guiding teams through performance management, annual evaluations, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution.
• Ensuring compliance and serving as Title IX Coordinator, monitoring federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, EEO, ADA) and driving Title IX compliance.
• Supporting workplace culture initiatives, leading training programs on DEI, anti-harassment, and supervisory skills, while analyzing metrics to improve retention.

What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combined experience).
• Experience: 3–5 years of progressively responsible HR experience, preferably in a non-profit, higher education, or mission-driven setting.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., JazzHR, BambooHR, ADP) and standard business software.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of HR best practices and federal/Oregon employment regulations.
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence to work effectively across diverse backgrounds.
• Mindset: An ethical, solutions-oriented approach with a strict commitment to confidentiality and equity.
