Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist with approximately 3 years of Human Resources experience to support day-to-day HR operations and provide exceptional service to managers and employees. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded HR Generalist background with experience in employee relations, HR operations, recruitment support, performance management, and HR policy interpretation.
This role serves as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries, requiring excellent communication skills, sound judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Approximately 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Specialist.
  • Experience supporting:
    • Employee Relations
    • HR Operations
    • Recruitment/Staffing Support
    • Performance Management
    • HR Policy Interpretation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive employee situations professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with managers.
  • Proficiency with:
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Teams
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with HR systems such as:
    • PeopleSoft
    • Workday
    • Oracle HR
  • Previous experience supporting HR Business Partners in a corporate environment.
  • Experience reviewing HR workflows and approvals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for managers regarding HR-related questions and employee matters.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, attendance concerns, corrective actions, and employee relations issues.
  • Conduct intake conversations, gather relevant facts, document employee concerns, and escalate complex issues to HR Business Partners (HRBPs) when appropriate.
  • Support recruitment activities, including job openings, internal job changes, and hiring workflows.
  • Assist with HR operational processes, workflow approvals, and basic HR reporting.
  • Review and process HR workflow transactions within PeopleSoft (workflow review only; this is not an HRIS administration role).
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Partner with managers to resolve employee concerns and provide timely HR support.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
