    About the Opportunity
     
    DSI Security Services is seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to support employees and managers across multiple locations. This is not an entry-level HR position. The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in employee relations, benefits administration, HR compliance, policy interpretation, and employee support.

    This role requires a professional who can independently manage sensitive employee issues, navigate complex HR situations, maintain compliance with employment laws, and serve as a trusted resource to both employees and leadership.

    What You'll Bring:
    • Minimum 3-5 years of professional Human Resources experience with HR as the primary job function.
    • Experience supporting employee relations matters, including employee concerns, policy interpretation, and performance management discussions.
    • Experience administering employee benefits programs.
    • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, and related HR compliance requirements.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
    • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Experience supporting a multi-site or distributed workforce.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced service industry environment.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employment-related concerns.
    • Partner with managers to address employee relations matters, performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflict resolution.
    • Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefit-related questions and enrollment processes.
    • Support leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other protected leave requests.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
    • Assist with investigations involving employee complaints, workplace concerns, and policy violations.
    • Support recruiting, onboarding, and new hire orientation processes.
    • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
    • Develop and distribute employee communications related to benefits, policies, compliance initiatives, and HR programs.
    • Participate in employee engagement initiatives, process improvements, and special HR projects.
    • Prepare HR reports and assist with audits, compliance reviews, and other departmental initiatives.
