Job Title: HR Specialist

Overview:
Provides support to one or more functional areas of human resources, such as recruiting, labor relations, compensation, benefits, payroll and/or organizational development. Processes and coordinates various paperwork. Gathers information and prepares reports. Maintains and distributes current employee information and other communications.

Responsible for providing workforce management, benefits, payroll and related HR process information and guidance to employees, former employees, managers, and human resources partners. Additionally responsible for processing the company's Human Resources (HR) transactions, providing functional support for various HR systems and policies, administering the company's employee benefit plans, and supporting the processing of payroll for the organization.

Position Responsibilities:
Contact Center:
-Provide high touch customer service that meets expected service level and business performance goals through telephone, email, and case management system
-Provide employees and managers support for HR, payroll and benefits transactions, including first contact support on processes for HRIS system (WorkDay)
Administration Support:
-Process and enter timely and accurate confidential employee information and changes in the HRIS (WorkDay), including new hires, terminations, promotions, salary changes, leave of absences, benefit enrollments, direct deposits, general deductions, etc.
-Administer employee benefit plans such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Wellness, and other programs as implemented.
-Support the integrity of employee records and WorkDay data
General
- Support team members from all functional areas
- Identify, suggest, document and implement ongoing process improvements.
- Assess inquiries or reported issues to determine best method of resolution
- Works collaboratively within a team to share ideas, ownership, and accountability for driving improvements and consistency of execution for key HR processes
- Identify and report any call trends or product trends to the Team Lead or Supervisor
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen
- Ability to articulate collect information in order to understand and assess the clients' needs and situation
- Coach callers on the use of self-service
- Assign inquiries to appropriate functional specialists if not resolved at first contact
- Utilize case management system to support issues resolution or case escalation
- Document inquiries and escalate to other parties as necessary, providing warm transfers of calls to next tier or third party vendor if appropriate
- Provide follow up communication to customers to ensure satisfaction and ticket resolution, including documenting customer contact information and notes
- Provide feedback on customer issues and the case management system so that management can address and improve the items

Position Qualifications
-High school diploma, plus+F55 experience in HR-related field, required
-Bachelor's degree in applicable field, preferred
-0-3 years of experience
-Demonstrated broad HR/Payroll/Benefits knowledge, as pertains to the company, providing customers with relevant information, policy explanation and navigation support
-Customer service and call center experience preferred; previous experience in a centralized HR Shared Service environment is a plus
-Experience with PeopleSoft, Workday or other HRIS
-Professional verbal and written communication skills and ability to relate to others in an empathetic and helpful manner
-Ability and willingness to work in a team environment
-Basic analytical and system navigation skills
-Strong organization skills
-Self-motivated and independent problem solving ability
-Spanish speaking skills, desired
-Detail oriented approach to gathering and maintaining information and data, with the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
-Ability to work in a change-filled environment and manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, required
-Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
