A growing multi-state professional services firm seeks an HR & Operations Manager to oversee people operations across 16 states.
- Manage multi-state tax compliance, license renewals, filings, and respond to audits and notices.
- Maintain HR policies, ensure payroll compliance, administer PTO, and support payroll processes.
- Lead employee onboarding, handle personnel issues, draft HR documents, and manage personnel files.
- Oversee insurance and benefits administration, including renewals and carrier interactions.
- Plan engagement events to foster team culture.
Qualifications: Proven HR/office management experience in multi-state settings, knowledge of employment laws, payroll systems, and compliance processes.

Salary: $90K/year. Must be based in Emeryville, CA, with a hybrid work policy (3 days in-office, 2 remote).
