The Delran Township School District, a K-12 district committed to excellence and innovation, is accepting applications for a Human Resources Specialist. The ideal candidate must have experience in the administration of employee Health Benefits, is detail-oriented, organized, customer service-focused, and committed to maintaining a professional and supportive work environment.

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and manage all aspects for the administration of the district Employee Health Benefits program.
  • Serves as district Wellness Coordinator.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to maintain accurate daily attendance records for all faculty and staff, which includes recording all absences, tardiness and early departures in accordance with district policies.
  • Serve as the district Workers' Compensation Administrator.

Confidential Information Management:

  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential information, including personnel records, legal documents, collective bargaining materials, disciplinary matters, student records, and financial data, ensuring strict adherence to FERPA, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of confidential board agendas, minutes, and related documents.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all staff members and legal issues.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Health Benefits Administration.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Secretarial Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in a school district or public sector environment is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and discretion.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with school district operations, policies, and procedures, and experience with Genesis, School-Fi, Frontline and Realtime, preferred.

This position is for a vacancy for a permanent position and includes enrollment in the PERS pension system, Accumulating Sick Days, Personal Days, and Full Family Health Benefits. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience - salary range begins at $58,000.00.
