Job Summary
Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. This position is located with the Human Resources Division. Candidates selected for this position will serve as a Human Resources Technician, NF-0203-03.
Major Duties
What to expect
Perform technical support work in one or more human resources functional areas such as; staffing, classification, employee relations, benefits, workers compensation, employee development, background checks, and labor relations.
Typical assignment(s) may include but not limited to; analyzing jobs, applying grading criteria and recommending classifications.
Develops job vacancy announcements and reviews and rates job applicants for a variety of jobs, evaluating and determining eligibility for applicants qualifications. Processes required background checks.
May be required to gather facts involving routine disciplinary or work performance issues.
Reviews and interprets related rules, regulations, and internal instructions for comments and implementation.
Explains rules and regulations to employees pertaining to assigned functions.
Conducts orientation classes, briefings, or training specific to the functional area.
This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
Three years of experience working in Human Resources or related field.
Must possess practical knowledge and skills in personnel procedures, rules, and regulations.
Must have the ability to plan, organize, and direct complex personnel operations.
Must possess excellent customer service and computer skills.
Must be able to work in fast pace, demanding work environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, and the flexibility to adapt with changing requirements.
May be required to successfully complete, obtain, and maintain Tier 3 level background check investigation.
Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
