Job Specifications
The City of Tallahassee is seeking an experienced Human Resources and Workforce Development (HRWD) Generalist to serve as a key resource and point of contact to departments citywide. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned professional who can operate independently, manage competing priorities across multiple departments, and deliver expert guidance across a broad range of workforce matters. Partnering with departments throughout the organization, youll support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, assist with onboarding, represent the City at career fairs, and play a central part in attracting and onboarding top-tier talent.
What Youll Do:
Job Description: HRWD Generalist
Minimum Training & Experience
Possession of a bachelor's degree in human resources, public administration, business administration, or a related field; and at least three years of experience in human resources, public administration, business administration, or a related field (A master's degree may substitute for one year of the required experience);
OR
Possession of a high school diploma OR GED; and at least seven years of experience in human resources, public administration, business administration, or a related field.
Salary Range
$25.1538 to $68.2567/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $48.6614/hour.
Drivers License Requirements
Must possess a valid Class-E State drivers license at the time of appointment.

Emergency Response Requirement:
In the event of a declared emergency, employees in this role serve as supplemental staff. This role will be required to report and carry out duties as directed for the duration of an emergency. Depending on the nature of the emergency, this may require working around the clock for several days on short notice.
