Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is work planning, developing, and evaluating the HIV & Hepatitis Prevention Program in the Communicable Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) Division. This is a responsible, professional Human Services Analyst position requiring the ability to plan, work and act independently, and in a team to meet program's goals. This position reports to Operations & Management Consultant II. Major program responsibilities include: Provide HIV, Hepatitis and STIs testing and education to inmates at the Collier County Jail; provide referrals upon inmates' release; assists staff with outreach events, HIV, Hepatitis and STIs screenings and testing, and prevention interventions (Effective Behavioral Interventions); provide linkage to care as prescribed by the HIV, Hepatitis and STIs Guidelines and Florida Department of Health in Collier County Policies in compliance with state, federal and grating agency rules and regulations in determining eligibility and services. Contributes to the organization's culture of performance excellence by actively seeking to improve personal and organizational performance through measurement, analysis, knowledge management, and processes improvements and participation in performance management committees, councils, and/or workgroups. Continuously demonstrates the Department's ICARE values. This position is at risk for exposure to Respiratory pathogens (Low Risk Level) under OSHA guidelines and requires annual TB Assessment which may include an Interferon-Gamma Release Assay (IGRA) test; and/or chest x-ray; and is required to have up-to date vaccinations for some vaccine-preventable diseases.
