High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid Connecticut driver's license.
Reliable vehicle with current automobile insurance.
Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
CPR/PMT Certificate a plus
Essential Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one support in accordance with the individual's service plan.
Assist with community outings, recreational activities, shopping, and social engagement.
Transport the individual safely to appointments, community activities, and other approved destinations.
Support the development of independent living and social skills.
Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks as needed.
Encourage positive communication, self-advocacy, and decision-making.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
Complete daily documentation and progress notes accurately and on time.
Report incidents, behavioral changes, or health concerns promptly.
Follow all DDS regulations and Beta Care Services CT policies.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
