We are currently seeking a part-time Human Services Instructor to cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and academic backgrounds. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about collaborating to enhance student success, creating interactive learning experiences, and fostering a supportive learning environment that inspires students' critical thinking.
This is an adjunct faculty pool for teaching in the Social Science and Human Services department. The pool will remain open until June 2025 unless positions are no longer needed. Applications will be reviewed and candidates will be contacted and interviewed as positions become available. If at any time you decide that you are no longer interested in being considered, you may log in to the system and withdraw your application from the pool. Typically at the end of the academic year (or at any point we no longer have a hiring need for this department), we will close this pool and you will receive an email notification.
Instructor is responsible for the planning and implementation of various Human Services courses. Instructor is required to create a course syllabus, instruct students in the subject matter in accordance with that syllabus, maintain attendance records, assess student progress and evaluate course work for a letter grade. Instructor will maintain college standards in all aspects of professionalism, record keeping and instruction within the team atmosphere of the social science department of Rogue Community College.
Supervision Received
The dean, in consultation with the department chair is responsible for carrying out the evaluation of instructors under procedures developed by the vice president. The dean confers with the department chair in decisions regarding instructor workload, professional growth, retention, and department staffing levels.
