Human Services Representative - Behavioral Health Programs

Your work will play a key role in identifying risks, addressing concerns, and ensuring that individuals receiving services are in safe and supportive environments.

This position goes beyond routine inspections and offers the opportunity to be actively involved in complex and meaningful situations. You may investigate alleged illegal operations, respond to critical incidents, and assist in the relocation of residents from non compliant or unsafe facilities. In these situations, you will collaborate with agencies, providers, and stakeholders to identify appropriate alternative placements and ensure continuity of care. This hands-on involvement allows you to influence outcomes directly and improve the lives of individuals in vulnerable circumstances.

You will also serve as a key resource for licensed providers, offering technical guidance and support to help them understand and comply with regulations. By building professional relationships with agencies, medical professionals, and other stakeholders, you will contribute to a system focused on continuous improvement and accountability. Additionally, you may be called upon to testify in administrative or court hearings, providing expert insight based on your findings and reinforcing the importance of regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as you will be responsible for reviewing medical, legal, and programmatic documentation, conducting interviews, and preparing detailed reports that support enforcement actions and licensing decisions. You will also monitor corrective action plans and ensure that identified deficiencies are addressed effectively. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel extensively are required, as is the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
