REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for the Human Services Supervisor (BARC Outpatient) position with the Human Services Department - Broward Addiction Recovery Center.
The Human Services Department is seeking a Human Services Supervisor to provide effective leadership, administrative oversight, and case management support within a dynamic human services environment.
The Human Services Supervisor plays a vital role in coordinating program operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable populations. Key responsibilities include monitoring casework performance, reviewing clinical and program documentation, conducting case consultations, and ensuring compliance with agency, funder, and accreditation requirements. The position also contributes to policy development, assists with crisis intervention for high-risk consumers, and collaborates with external partners such as law enforcement and child protective investigators. Additional duties include participating in budget preparation, supporting recruitment and training efforts, and acting as an agency liaison to community organizations to strengthen service networks. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership abilities, experience in social services or counseling, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the capacity to coordinate multiple program functions while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and adherence to organizational standards.
