Job DescriptionJob Description
We are seeking a motivated, hard-working First-Year HVAC Apprentice to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will work side-by-side with our licensed Lead Technicians and Installers. You will get hands-on experience with residential and commercial heating, cooling, and ventilation systems while learning the trade from the inside out.
No prior professional HVAC experience is required, but a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn are absolute musts. This is not just a job—this is a long-term career path with massive room for advancement. We fast-track our apprentices into leadership and lead technician roles as they gain experience.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Assist Pros: Help lead technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems (furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, ductwork).
- Load & Prep: Load service trucks with tools and materials; prepare job sites by setting up safety equipment and staging parts.
- Keep it Clean: Maintain a clean, organized work area on the job site and keep the company service vehicle stocked and tidy.
- Learn the Tools: Learn how to safely use standard trade tools, meters, and gauges under direct supervision.
- Prioritize Safety: Follow all company safety protocols, including wearing required PPE and handling materials correctly.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean, insurable driving record (required to eventually operate company vehicles).
- Basic mechanical aptitude (experience with hand/power tools, working on cars, or DIY projects is a huge plus).
- Strong physical stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight or hot spaces (crawl spaces, attics).
- Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance when interacting with customers.
- Bonus: Completion of an HVAC trade school program or a current EPA Section 608 Certification is highly valued, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
