Assist with the installation of commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, air handlers, condensing units, exhaust fans, make-up air units, VAV boxes, and related mechanical equipment.
Install and modify ductwork, equipment supports, and associated HVAC components under project specifications.
Assist with equipment replacements and retrofit installations on commercial construction projects.
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and installation manuals.
Perform routine installation tasks independently while seeking guidance on more complex assignments.
Assist with equipment startup, testing, and commissioning activities.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.
Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, materials used, and project progress.
Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to support project schedules.
Maintain company tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and job site safety requirements.
Participate in ongoing technical training and apprenticeship coursework to develop HVAC installation knowledge and skills.

Required Skills/Abilities
Basic mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to build a career in the HVAC industry.
Ability to read or learn to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and installation specifications.
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and HVAC installation equipment.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with the construction team.
Commitment to quality workmanship and maintaining a safe work environment.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Enrollment in or completion of an HVAC apprenticeship or trade school program preferred.
Previous construction, mechanical, or HVAC experience is a plus but not required.
OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and overhead work.
Ability to work on rooftops, ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
Must possess the ability to adjust focus for close-up work, with or without correction.
