PRIDESTAFF is seeking a qualified HVAC AutoCAD professional in the Long Beach MS area.
The HVAC AutoCAD professional will create detailed technical drawings, ductwork layouts, and piping schematics for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position will translate engineering calculations and architectural blueprints into precise construction documents, ensuring systems are efficient and comply with building codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Design: Develop 2D and 3D layouts of HVAC systems (diffusers, equipment, and ductwork) using
- AutoCAD.Coordination: Align HVAC plans with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing trades to prevent physical conflicts (clashes).
- Revisions: Update existing drawings based on client feedback, field surveys, and engineering markups.
- Documentation: Prepare material schedules, specification lists, and as-built drawings for construction and installation teams.
Essential Qualifications
Software Skills
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with various CAD software platforms is preferred.
- At least 2 years engineering HVAC ductwork drawings
Industry Knowledge
- Understanding of HVAC systems, basic mechanical calculations, and construction best practices (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA standards).
Educational Requirements
- Associate’s degree, technical certification in drafting/design, or a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
