We are currently seeking a Commercial HVAC Installer to join our team in Newport News, VA . If you have strong mechanical skills and enjoy working with your hands, this is a great opportunity to grow your HVAC career.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will install commercial and industrial heating and cooling systems while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Key responsibilities include:
Install HVAC systems including hydronic, steam, forced hot air, and heat pumps
Follow best practices for mechanical installation and jobsite safety
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
Perform brazing and soldering as needed
Install proper refrigerant piping systems
Assist with basic controls and wiring connections
Use tools, equipment, and basic computer systems effectively
Maintain a professional attitude and communicate clearly with team members and customers
What We're Looking For
At least 1 year of HVAC installation or service experience, or equivalent training
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and documentation skills
Dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug screen and background checks as required

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on role in a commercial setting. You can expect:
Work in indoor and outdoor jobsite conditions with varying weather
Frequent standing, climbing, bending, and lifting
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Occasional travel or extended time in a vehicle depending on jobsite needs
Exposure to typical construction materials and environments
