HVAC Controls Systems Team Leader

MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced HVAC Controls Systems Team Leader in Roswell, GA. Position Summary

The HVAC Controls Systems Team Leader will oversee and provide leadership to a team of field technicians responsible for HVAC controls and related field operations. This position combines team leadership and management responsibilities with involvement in field project delivery.

The role is responsible for coordinating daily team activities, supporting operational goals, ensuring safety and quality standards, maintaining customer satisfaction, and helping achieve financial and productivity objectives.

Responsibilities

Supervise and provide leadership to assigned HVAC controls teams.

Plan and coordinate daily activities and technician routes.

Monitor team performance, productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Establish performance objectives and support employee development plans.

Coordinate field operations with sales and other internal teams to support customer and project requirements.

Oversee the execution of assigned service and installation activities.

Ensure contractual obligations and customer requirements are met.

Review bids, estimates, and operational plans for accuracy and effectiveness.

Monitor HVAC operational standards and implement improvements as needed.

Analyze operational processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.

Support staffing, recruiting, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning.

Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and establish development plans for team members.

Ensure appropriate workforce and skill levels are available for successful project execution.

Support customer account management and initiatives focused on customer satisfaction.

Identify potential business and market opportunities and communicate them to appropriate leadership.

Promote compliance with applicable safety policies and operational standards.

Perform other duties related to team leadership, operations, customer satisfaction, and business development.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in HVAC services or operations.

Minimum 3 years of management or leadership experience with responsibility for team productivity and employee development.

Strong knowledge of HVAC service, controls, and field operations.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage day-to-day operational activities.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, sales teams, and management.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience with Metasys or other HVAC building automation/control systems.

Approximately 8 years of HVAC operational experience, including leadership responsibilities.

Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced security systems technician with strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, IP networking, and integrated security systems. The successful candidate should be self-motivated, technically capable, safety-conscious, and comfortable troubleshooting complex systems independently.
