HVAC Diagnostics Technician — Residential Systems

What you’ll do

• Troubleshoot, service, and repair residential HVAC equipment; assist with light commercial calls as needed.
• Perform cleanings and adjustments on air handlers, ducting, supply/return vents, and condensate systems.
• Handle both preventative maintenance and emergency calls while following safety standards.
• Complete inspections, tune-ups, and component upgrades; document everything you do.
• Offer professional recommendations that improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Keep your truck, tools, and job sites orderly.

Must-haves

• 2+ years in HVAC service (residential preferred).
• EPA certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
• Active TDLR credential.
• Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and customer communication skills.
• Quality-focused, positive demeanor; collaborative and adaptable.

Physical realities of the job

• Regularly lift 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Climb, crawl, kneel, and work in confined spaces (attics/crawlspaces); operate hand tools and perform precision tasks.
• Drive to and from job sites.
• Work indoors/outdoors; tolerate temperature extremes and inclement weather.
• Stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear in person and by phone; reach and handle tools/controls.
