Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Duct Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining residential and/or commercial HVAC duct systems. This role requires physical stamina, professionalism, and a strong commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean HVAC duct systems, vents, registers, dryer vents, and related equipment using specialized tools
- Inspect ductwork for dust, debris, mold, and other contaminants
- Safely operate vacuums, brushes, blowers, and other duct-cleaning equipment
- Set up and break down equipment at job sites
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers about services performed
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times
- Document work performed, including before-and-after photos
- Assist with minor HVAC-related tasks as needed (based on company policy and training)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Specific Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in duct cleaning, HVAC, or related trades is a plus but not required; training available
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight or confined spaces including attics and crawl spaces
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to successfully pass a clean background screening
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work performed in residential and commercial indoor and outdoor environments
- Regular exposure to dust, debris, insulation, and varying temperatures
- Frequent use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, respirators, and safety goggles
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing 50 pounds or more
- Must be comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, ceilings, and other restricted-access areas
- Frequent travel to customer job sites throughout the workday
- Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail, safety awareness, and adaptability
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time position
- Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional weekends as needed
- Pay: $16–$20/hour, based on experience
