Position Title:HVAC EngineerLocation: Houston, TXEmployment Type: Full-TimeRole OverviewThe HVAC Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, commissioning, and maintenance of high-performance HVAC systems for data center and infrastructure facilities under FII projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in mission-critical environments, ensuring system reliability, energy efficiency, and compliance with global standards.Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize HVAC systems for new and existing data center facilities to ensure high efficiency, reliability, and energy savings.
Perform detailed technical assessments to identify HVAC system issues and implement best-fit engineering solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, controls, construction, commissioning) to deliver HVAC projects on schedule and within commissioning and testing requirements.
Lead and support commissioning activities from L1 to L5, including Integrated System Testing (IST).
Monitor, operate, and maintain HVAC systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and operational excellence.
Provide technical guidance, documentation, and training to operations and maintenance teams.
Ensure HVAC designs align with sustainability, redundancy, and energy-efficient best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
Hands-on experience in data center engineering, construction, and commissioning (L1–L5, IST).
Proven experience in HVAC system design, installation, testing, and maintenance.
Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, control systems, and international standards (ASHRAE, ISO, etc.).
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in HVAC design and analysis tools/software.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
Experience working on global FII or large-scale infrastructure/data center projects.
Strong knowledge of energy-efficient, sustainable, and balanced HVAC system design.
Demonstrated project management capabilities with successful delivery of complex projects in fast-paced environments.
