Job Details

Job Details / Responsibilities:

Serve as lead HVAC Engineer from concept through construction administration
Draft HVAC construction drawings including details, plans, and sections
Perform HVAC load and energy calculations and design HVAC systems
Select HVAC equipment and develop construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit
Coordinate all HVAC-related documentation and drawings throughout the project lifecycle
Lead design efforts with staff and consultants to meet code, client, and contractual requirements
Administer projects in construction phase, review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and resolve field issues
Lead design discussions, implement sustainable strategies, and carry concepts through to drawings
Research building performance, regulations, and conduct necessary engineering research
Communicate effectively with clients, respond to questions, and represent the firm

Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Design Certification
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
Minimum 7-10 years of experience working for a consulting engineering firm
Well versed in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
Ability to lead projects, make critical decisions, and work effectively with teams and contractors
