A true builder doesn't even consider shortcuts because he knows the difference between “good enough” and “built to last”.
When the job is done, the system isn't just operational—it's dialed in, fine-tuned, and built to perform at its absolute best. Work that looks sharp, runs smooth, and stands strong.
If I just described you to your core, we want you at Ernst Heating & Cooling.
You get started at 7:00 AM, and most days you'll wrap up between 2:00 and 4:00 PM. A couple times a month you may work overtime. Weekends are optional with bonus pay if you want them.
We'll make sure you have what you need when you need it. But once you're on site? That's your arena. You'll follow Ernst's highest standards while trusting your process to get the job done right.
And even though you're in someone else's home, you'll always treat it like your own mother's. When you leave, the place should look as clean or cleaner than when you arrived.
Most importantly, we never cut corners. Anybody can rush through a job and say it's “done.” But lasting work? That takes patience, a clear plan, and total attention to the details. Every tool back in its place, every step done in the right order.
Also, experience helps, but it's not required. If you're a quick learner, handy, and take pride in your work, we'll train you up. We've got a system to make sure you succeed – you just need to bring the craftsmanship and the drive.
If that's the kind of job you've been waiting for, it's time to make your move.
We don't want you to send a resume. Let me repeat, don't SEND US YOUR RESUME. Because too many people skim job descriptions looking for what's bolded and blast off resumes to every company they can find. That's not the person we want to hire.
Instead, submit a short story about why you'd be perfect for the role of Comfort Engineer at Ernst Heating & Cooling. And use #ComfortEngineer or we won't read it.
Now SEND ME THAT STORY.
I can't wait to read it.
