HVAC Estimator Job
Lane Valente Industries is looking for a HVAC Estimator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Become proficient with all product offerings, estimating, and e-commerce software tools.
- Create quotes and respond to inbound queries and requests.
- Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products.
- Review mechanical drawings for incoming quote requests.
- Understand scope of HVAC work to bid.
- Communicate with the engineering department on new and current projects.
- Prepare job take offs.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC / Mechanical Contracting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate effectively.
- Knowledge of bidding software.
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility and ability to prioritize work assignments.
- Ability to develop budgets and time lines.
- Multi-tasker and Organized.
- Commutable to Staten Island.
- Great customer service and a team attitude.
- Attention to detail an asset;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HVAC estimating;
- Works well on own or in a team environment;
- Self-starter with strong work ethic;
- Knowledgeable in building and construction.
