HVAC Vent Assembly Technician
Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour (Performance-based increase upon permanent hire)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Overtime: 6:00 AM-4:30 PM as needed, with occasional weekends required

HVAC Vent Assembly Technician Must-Have Requirements
- Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch
- Must be available to work overtime, it is mandatory
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and air tools
- Sit-down forklift experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow blueprints is a plus
- Comfortable working independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stand on concrete for 8-10 hour shifts
- Steel-toed boots required
HVAC Vent Assembly Technician Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable HVAC Vent Assembly Technician to fabricate and assemble custom HVAC vent systems for commercial and industrial applications. This position involves cutting, fitting, soldering, and assembling metal components while following blueprints and production specifications. The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in producing quality products.
This position requires dependable attendance during the training period and a commitment to following workplace procedures. Employees are expected to participate in routine housekeeping duties, maintain accurate production documentation, take notes during training, and follow all safety and security policies. Overtime is a required part of this position, and personal cell phone use is prohibited during working hours except during scheduled breaks and lunch. The work environment is non-climate controlled, requiring employees to stand for extended periods while wearing the required personal protective equipment.
HVAC Vent Assembly Technician Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assembly & Fabrication
- Fabricate custom HVAC vents using formed sheet metal and honeycomb materials
- Cut, shape, solder, and assemble components according to production specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints to build standard and custom products
- Form and install metal and rubber collars used in completed assemblies
- Verify completed products meet quality and dimensional requirements
Quality & Production
- Measure materials accurately using a tape measure
- Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately
- Follow work instructions and assembly procedures to ensure consistent product quality
- Report material or assembly issues to supervisors
Shop Support
- Operate a sit-down forklift as needed
- Use hand, power, and air tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Participate in routine shop housekeeping and facility cleaning
- Follow all company safety policies and production procedures
HVAC Vent Assembly Technician Additional Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, sheet metal, HVAC, assembly, or fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read 2D and 3D blueprints is highly desirable
- Experience with soldering or light metal fabrication is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work required overtime
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and follow established procedures
