About the role:
We are seeking an HVAC Field Service Technician to service HVAC equipment and systems for maintaining cooling, heating, and ventilation to buildings and facilities throughout but not limited to the New York Tri-State area.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis and repair for HVAC system
Provide technical support for new chiller installation, startup and commissioning
Demonstrate and train customers how to use their system properly
Create and build strong relationships with customers, provide remarkable service, and surpass customers’ expectations
Communicating with customers and managers regarding service findings is essential, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Keep track of service calls
Represent the company by serving as the direct customer contact for our products and equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer’s location.
Display team effort and dedication to customer by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight work
Keep the management team in loop about customer’s satisfaction, any potential sales opportunities and any recurring problems
Other tasks as assigned
Possess and respect a safety-first attitude
Qualifications:
US work authorization
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and typically 2 plus years of experience in HVAC. Technical School or formal training is preferred.
This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, stooping, kneeling and climbing ladders. It requires employees to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move more than 40 lbs.
This role may involve exposure to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, noisy operating equipment and other variable environmental conditions based on location
Strong organizational skills, positive attitude and an ability to learn and grow quickly
Must be capable of working independently or in a team
Confident, articulate and professional speaking abilities.
Ability to travel and work overtime/weekend as needed
Ability to review plans, diagrams and flow charts
Demonstrate a high level of trouble shooting skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills
A general knowledge of electronics is required
Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record
Strong knowledge of relative safety standard/good practice and willingness to use PPE
EPA certification and OSHA certification preferred
