About the Role
Fagone Plumbing, Heating & HVAC is looking for an experienced HVAC Installation Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled installer who takes pride in clean workmanship, proper system setup, and professional service in the home.
The right candidate will have hands-on experience installing residential heating and cooling systems, working with ductwork and sheet metal, and following manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable codes. This is an installation-focused position with opportunities to work on furnaces, boilers, central air systems, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and related comfort systems.
Responsibilities
- Install residential HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, heat pump, and ductless systems
- Install and modify ductwork, sheet metal, venting, line sets, drains, and related components
- Assist with system changeouts, replacements, upgrades, and new equipment installations
- Follow installation plans, manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes
- Complete clean, organized, professional installations in occupied homes
- Start up and test installed equipment to confirm proper operation
- Document installation progress, completed work, equipment setup, and job site conditions with photos and video as needed
- Capture clear before, during, and after documentation to support customer communication, internal records, training, and marketing when appropriate
- Communicate professionally with homeowners while on site
- Maintain accurate job notes, photos, videos, and documentation
- Keep work areas, tools, materials, and company vehicles organized
- Work closely with the installation team, service team, and project leads
- Support occasional service or maintenance work as needed
Qualifications
- HVAC installation experience required
- EPA Certification required
- Massachusetts Sheet Metal License required
- Experience installing residential heating and cooling equipment
- Experience with ductwork, sheet metal fabrication or modification, venting, and system layout
- Ability to read installation instructions, job scopes, and basic mechanical plans
- Strong attention to detail and pride in clean workmanship
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance and respectful, customer-first attitude
- Ability to communicate clearly with homeowners and team members
- Experience with heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and high-efficiency systems is a plus
- Plumbing, gas fitting, or additional trade experience is a plus
