HVAC Installer Helper

Location:New York City, NY -- Serving Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Job Summary

MR. AIR NYC is a specialized HVAC and building science company serving New York City homeowners, Brownstones, townhomes, historic properties, and complex retrofit projects. We combine technical HVAC knowledge, energy auditing, 3D scanning, clear communication, and professional project execution to deliver a better experience from consultation through installation and service. 

We are seeking a dependable HVAC Installer Helper to assist our installation team with residential and light commercial HVAC system installations, maintenance, and repairs. The ideal candidate is punctual, safety-conscious, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the removal and installation of HVAC equipment.
• Help move and position furnaces, air handlers, condensers, and other HVAC equipment.
• Assist with leveling equipment and connecting refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, control wiring, and gas lines under the direction of the lead installer.
• Help start up and test HVAC systems to verify proper operation.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures.
• Provide courteous, professional service to customers and work effectively with team members.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification preferred.
• OSHA 40 Certification preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces such as crawl spaces.
• Ability to walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, balance, climb, and stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
