    The HVAC Installer Helper assists Lead Installers with the installation, replacement, and startup of residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in the HVAC industry while learning proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service skills.

    Essential Responsibilities
    • Assist with the installation of residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, thermostats, and indoor air quality products. 
    • Load, unload, and transport equipment, materials, and tools to and from job sites. 
    • Remove and dispose of old HVAC equipment and materials safely. 
    • Assist in installing ductwork, refrigerant lines, drain lines, electrical components, and ventilation systems. 
    • Support system startup, testing, and basic commissioning procedures. 
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout each installation. 
    • Follow manufacturer specifications, company standards, and local building codes. 
    • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and properly. 
    • Maintain inventory of installation materials and assist with stocking company vehicles. 
    • Complete basic paperwork and mobile documentation as required. 
    • Provide courteous and professional customer service while in customers' homes. 
    • Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures. 
    • Perform other duties as assigned. 

    Requirements
     
    • High school diploma or GED preferred. 
    • 1-3 years of previous HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical experience preferred but not required. 
    • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. 
    • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. 
    • Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude. 
    • Good communication and customer service skills. 
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred. 
    • EPA Section 608 Certification is a plus or willingness to obtain.
     

    Preferred Skills
    • Familiarity with basic hand and power tools. 
    • Basic understanding of HVAC systems and installation practices. 
    • Ability to read tape measures and follow installation instructions. 
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. 
    • Ability to climb ladders, work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and confined spaces. 
    • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, squat, and work overhead for extended periods. 
    • Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
    Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
