Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our team and drive excellence in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system installation projects. As a Lead Installer, you will oversee the installation process from start to finish, ensuring precision, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and leadership skills will be essential in guiding a team of installers and coordinating complex projects. Duties

• Lead and supervise HVAC installation projects, ensuring all work meets safety standards, codes, and quality expectations
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations
• Coordinate with project managers, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to ensure seamless workflow
• Train and mentor junior installers on proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and equipment handling
• Conduct site inspections to verify proper system setup, airflow, refrigerant levels, and mechanical connections
• Diagnose issues during installation using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot equipment as needed
• Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, environmental regulations (including ammonia refrigeration standards), and company policies

Requirements

• RMGA Certification
• Proven experience in construction-related fields with a focus on HVAC installation or service technician roles
• Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, boilers, and appliances
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents accurately
• Skilled in equipment repair, welding, maintenance procedures, and property maintenance tasks
• Familiarity with field service operations involving air conditioning units and complex mechanical systems
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles preferred
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical components
• Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) standards and safety protocols
• Hands-on experience with welding techniques and boiler systems is a plus
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
