HVAC Installer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Installer with 2–5 years of hands-on experience installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in single-family homes. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering high-quality installations and excellent customer service.

This position will be responsible for installing, replacing, and servicing residential HVAC equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Install residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, condensers, and related equipment.
• Perform complete HVAC installations in new and existing single-family homes.
• Install and connect refrigerant lines, condensate drains, ductwork, electrical components, thermostats, and equipment controls.
• Properly size, position, level, and secure HVAC equipment.
• Braze refrigerant lines and perform pressure and leak testing.
• Complete system start-up, testing, and commissioning to ensure proper operation.
• Follow installation specifications, manufacturer requirements, and local building and mechanical codes.
• Identify and correct installation issues before completing the job.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout each project.
• Protect customers' homes, flooring, walls, furniture, and personal property during installation.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding equipment operation, thermostats, maintenance, and basic system functionality.
• Work effectively with installers, HVAC technicians, project managers, and other team members.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials in good working condition.
• Complete required job documentation and communicate project status to management.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of residential HVAC installation experience.
• Experience working in single-family residential homes strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of residential heating and cooling systems.
• Ability to read and understand HVAC installation specifications and equipment manuals.
• Basic understanding of refrigeration, electrical, airflow, ductwork, and HVAC controls.
• Ability to braze copper refrigerant lines and perform system pressure testing.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, meters, recovery equipment, and other HVAC installation tools.
• Ability to work safely in attics, crawl spaces, garages, closets, rooftops, and other residential environments.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift HVAC equipment and materials and perform physically demanding work.
• EPA 608 certification preferred.
• HVAC trade school or technical training is a plus.
