We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician who is ready to bring real-world industry knowledge into the classroom. The HVAC Instructor will educate, mentor, and prepare students for successful careers in the HVAC field.
This position is well suited for an HVAC professional who enjoys helping others, communicating technical concepts, and supporting students as they develop hands-on skills and career readiness. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required; comprehensive instructor training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver classroom and hands-on HVAC instruction in accordance with the established curriculum.
Create an engaging, supportive, and professional learning environment.
Demonstrate HVAC procedures, tools, equipment, and industry best practices.
Monitor student attendance, academic progress, skills development, and competency.
Support student cohort completion and retention.
Help prepare students for graduation and employment in the HVAC industry.
Maintain all required educational qualifications, certifications, competencies, and technical skills.
Provide students with constructive feedback, guidance, and additional support when needed.
Maintain accurate student records and complete required administrative tasks.
Collaborate with academic and administrative staff to support student success.
Schedule
Candidates may be considered for either of the following schedules:
At least three years of professional experience as an HVAC Technician.
Current Oil Burner Certificate.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, service procedures, tools, and safety practices.
Genuine interest in teaching, mentoring, and developing students.
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to successfully complete required background screening.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring experience.
Outgoing and approachable personality.
Experience explaining technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of knowledge.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary $65,000 - $75,000
